In clinical settings, snapshots of information collected at believed 'decisive moments' of the pathologic process define the disease. Yet, far from discrete, disease proceeds in a continuous and highly individual manner.
Our research team aims to look into the pathology beyond its 'random moments' and further into the dynamic and evolving essentials. Our lab's prior interests are (but not limited to) the dynamics and progression of cancer and immune dysregulation, with a core focus in stem cell biology, molecular biology and engineering. We are exploring the biology with the followings; 1) Design of concrete and clear biological model systems, 2) Data-driven research, 3) Human specimens and real-world clinical data, and 4) An unbiased approach to science.
