We create programmable DNA editing tools for plants, animals, and human cells, including human pluripotent stem cells. These tools enable precise DNA manipulation for targeted genome modification. In the past 10 years, we have developed various genome engineering tools, including Zinc Finger Nucleases (ZFNs), Transcriptional Activator-Like Effector Nucleases (TALENs), CRISPR/Cas-based nuclease, and base editors. These tools are widely used in biology, biotechnology, and molecular medicine. We will continue our efforts to improve and expand genome editing technologies.
